Dear Actionmarguerite St. Boniface residents and families, It is with deep regret that we inform you of the need to suspend all visits (including Essential Visitors) effectively immediately at Actionmarguerite St. Boniface with exceptions for end-of-life visits. This decision has been made because we have become aware of two employees who have tested positive for COVID-19 on 2ABC. The employees are isolating at home and we wish them a quick recovery. We are currently completing a thorough risk assessment and putting the necessary protocols in place to ensure everyone’s safety. Residents who may have been exposed are being closely monitored for symptoms. You will be contacted if your loved one develops any symptoms and requires a test for COVID-19. This represents another very difficult decision but protecting residents, their families, and staff from the higher risk of Omicron infections must take precedence. Continuing visits at this time while this infection rages on throughout the community, poses a significant risk to everyone’s health and wellbeing. The suspension of all visits at Actionmarguerite St. Boniface is in place until further notice. We will continuously monitor and reassess the level of risk and will inform you when the suspension can be lifted. We are able to facilitate virtual visits.
